Hi,

I have an advertising client/friend (a real cool and nice Indian at that!) who wants me to help him gather some of the best and finest animators we have here… We are looking basically for 2D traditional animators but we welcome 2D flash animators as well… 3D animators are welcome too. Needless to say, the in-betweeners and those who will do the clean-up are much-needed as well. The need to form the group is immediate. We are looking for people who are willing to sign a contract for at least one or two years. Though I am pretty sure it will be longer than that.

As I have mentioned to you, the animation subject will be, more or less, like the Ramayana, other Hindu Gods and Goddesses and Buddha… You may take a view of those featured in youtube just to give you an idea of how we want it done.

It will be a series of shows… My friend has bought the rights to the series of stories already. All we need is the group of animators. We need serious artists who will do the work from start till the end. Sad to say, we have heard of stories of some animators leaving their jobs halfway done… I am also aware that some animators have their own sad stories too… those who never got paid for the work they have done… That is why we want to make sure that a detailed contract will be enforced so as to protect both parties’ interests not only in terms of wages but in other matters as well.

I would really much appreciate it if you could help me search for the animators and artists that we need for such purpose. Please tell them to email their resumes with focus on their work history (whether with a company or as a freelancer), and a few links of their past animation works. Kindly ask them to give at least two references of past employers or people they have done projects with. We need to collate the resumes ASAP as we will interview all the interested animators. We will also get you to play a big part in this endeavor.
